Our Parent Company, UCG
The UCG mission is simple: Quality. Profit. Fun. |

In 1977, two young journalists, Bruce Levenson and Ed Peskowitz, formed a start-up business information company. They rented office space on top of a liquor store in Washington, DC and put out the first issue of their flagship publication. Two months later, they hosted their first business conference. Less than 4 short years later in 1981, UCG launched one of America's first online information services for business, blazing the trail for the digital information revolution. The success of their first online endeavor quickly led to expansion into other business units and soon UCG was providing their valued business information services for a growing range of industries. In the late 1980s, Nancy Becker and Dan Brown became partners in the company. Then in 1996, Todd Foreman, UCG's CFO, became a partner. UCG remains privately held, with no outside investors.
